Proforma Technology

Proforma recently presented an overview on technology in the promotional products world at the Career Showcase at the University of Florida. The presentation, led by Stan Maxwell, Proforma’s chief strategy officer, and Brian Roney, Proforma’s director of e-commerce, focused on promotional product industry trends and the importance of technology including the explosive growth of e-commerce.

The Career Showcase is the University of Florida’s largest career fair spanning three days of virtual and in-person networking with top companies from all over the U.S. Proforma was invited by Craig Petrus, executive director of career services at University of Florida, to host a special lecture on technology and its importance in our industry.

“Proforma did an excellent job of educating our Warrington College of Business students on the impact of technology in today’s business environment,” said Petrus.

“As a graduate of the University of Florida with a background in both business and computer science, I really enjoyed sharing up-to-date technology trends with upcoming graduates,” added Roney. “All students somewhat understand the B2C market, but many were surprised at the overall size and areas of opportunity within the B2B market and the role our industry plays in B2B e-commerce.”

Proforma has invested more than $20 million to date in ProVision, its proprietary business management platform, and Proforma also continues to heavily invest in ProStores, its proprietary e-commerce platform. Over the past year and a half, all Proforma Owners transitioned onto the new platform in an expedited rollout.
